Buggies & quads

Off-Road in Punta Cana: pick your machine

Everyone rides the same trail — mud, a Taíno stop, the coffee and cocoa tasting, and a swim in the cave. What changes is what you are sitting in, and how many of you are in it.

Three machines, one route

The price is per person, and it depends on how many share the vehicle. Fewer people in a machine means more machine per person — which is why a solo rider pays more than someone sharing.

Blast buggy

The open-frame buggy built for these trails. Loud, basic and the messiest of the three — which is the point. Two, three or four to a machine.

Buggy Kayo

A longer, rougher circuit for riders who want more track and fewer stops. Two to a machine, or take one to yourself.

4 Wheels / ATV

A quad you ride yourself. You straddle it and steer with handlebars. Ride it alone, or two up with a passenger behind you.

Every option, side by side

This is the table our team works from. If you are three adults, look down the 3 pax rows; if two of you are bringing a child, look at 3 pax and read the child column.

The same route, whichever you pick

Every machine runs the same full route, start to finish. The machine changes; the day does not.

  • The trail. Dirt, mud and tropical green, heading inland away from the resorts.
  • Taíno stop. A live cultural demonstration in a local community, off the machines.
  • Coffee, cocoa, cigars. Tastings at a Dominican ranch, and how the cigars get rolled.
  • The cave. A swim in clear water underground, at the end, still covered in mud.

Included on every option

  • Round-trip hotel transfers
  • Helmet and safety equipment
  • Safety briefing and guides throughout
  • Taíno stop, ranch visit and tastings
  • Swim in the natural cave

Who cannot ride. Pregnant women and infants are not permitted on any of the machines — the track is rough from start to finish. The solo machines are adults only. No driving licence is needed: the guides run through the controls before anyone sets off, and the group rides at the pace of the slowest machine.
